Chibi Nation! I know that some of you have already contributed to the Kickstarter campagin, and for that I am grateful. It may be that the rest of you are waiting to ride to the rescue as the Kickstarter ends, but I would urge you not to do that. I really want you to give at least $1 and I want you do to it today. Why? There are three reasons, and they are related.
The first is popularity. The more backers we have, the more the Chibi Tarot stands out on Kickstarter, both in its category of games and on the site entirely. The more that we stand out, the better chance we have of being selected by the Kickstarter staff and highlighted. Thus, many of you giving, even in small amounts, begins a virtuous circle that helps us get noticed, and then helps us receive more pledges.
Second, the point of the Chibi Tarot Kickstarter is not just to raise $5,000. That’s the basic goal, but the more money we raise, the more stuff there is for everyone. I really want to shoot past $5k and into the $7,500 to $10,000 mark. The further we go past the $5,000 mark, the more products I’ll be able to produce, and the more I can work on the deck, and the sooner it comes out.
Thirdly, YOU GET A STICKAR! That is AWESOME! You get a great looking, well-designed Chibi Tarot STICKER that you can then cherish forever as a badge of your philanthropic generosity! Come on, a STICKER!
So let’s start giving a buck today! Then you can follow that up by telling someone new about the Chibi Tarot and why you think it’s cool. Bug your friends to give a dollar, and bug them to bug their friends to give a dollar. A hundred people turning around and giving a dollar today will TRIPLE our backers and really start to get us noticed in the Kickstarter world, which will give us a huge push to meeting our $5,000 goal.
